Creative Director • Owner
Vidal Blankenstein has contributed to the creative communication process for more than 25 years as an agency V.P., Creative Director, Advertising Director, Designer, Copywriter, Broadcast Producer, Marketing Director and Brand Consultant. She grew up in Natchez, Mississippi, a town known for its tourism industry and visual experience. There she acquired her knack for good stories and creative sales pitches.
With extensive experience in traditional print and broadcast advertising, as well as interactive design, campaign concepts, communication strategies and event promotion, Vidal has produced award-winning works for clients throughout the region. Her work has been recognized with more than 10 annual Best of Show honors and has been included in Regional/National Advertising Competitions and industry-specific publications. Active in civic and arts organizations, Vidal Blankenstein holds an M.F.A. and B.F.A. in graphic design and has instructed courses on the university level. She and her husband David Lambert produce fine art which can be seen in Bryant Galleries in Jackson, Mississipi and in Le Mieux in New Orleans. Their work is also housed in several permanent museum collections across the Southeast.
It has been said that Vidal is one of the best problem solvers you will ever meet. As the Imaginary team can attest, she makes the often-stressful process of branding, design, and advertising a fun experience for all.

Aaron Phillips grew up in Texas. An entirely random series of events led him to Mississippi, where he became a professional photographer and Photoshop ninja. His beard is extraordinarily red, which perhaps led to his skills with color and lighting. Aaron entertains the Imaginary team with his tales of cross-country road trips and inner-city adventures.
Motion Graphics
Robby Piantanida hails from East Texas. With a degree in Visual Art, he is Imaginary's primary videographer and video editor. He maintains his own film production company as a director, editor, and effects artist. Possessing dozens of short films and one feature to his credit, he is much more comfortable BEHIND the camera.

Stephanie Seymour is from Germantown, Tennessee. She aids customers with print ads and web issues. She adores Notre Dame football, and takes a yearly pilgrimage to South Bend for a game. In her free time, she art directs for a local wedding magazine. She is married to Calvin, and their daughters Lauren and Olivia are well known throughout the office as a constant source of precocious humor.

Katie Stewart is from Jackson but also claims Edinburgh, Scotland as a hometown. A former junior high English teacher, she is a careful wordsmith and a ruthless editor. Katie is an avid reader and a freelance writer, with articles appearing regularly in several local magazines. She provides the Imaginary team with all the cakes and cookies they need. She is married to Mason.

Mason Stewart, a native of Mississippi, spent almost four years in Shizuoka, Japan, where he learned to speak Japanese and amplified his appreciation for elegant, colorful design. He heads up web development and wows the rest of the team with his ExpressionEngine prowess. Mason is known for his philosophical slogans, such as “That’s what you need to be doing.” He is married to Katie.

Tyler Tadlock is the senior graphic designer at Imaginary Company. In late 2009, he relocated to the Pacific Northwest to help jumpstart Imaginary Company's first satellite branch, currently located in the basement of his home in Portland, OR. Areas of expertise are print and web design, corporate identity, beer tasting, digging for cheap vinyl gems in the discount bin, and composing music on the computer. He enjoys long walks on the Oregon coast and pillaging through dumpsters for found art.

Rebecca White spent her childhood on a cattle farm in north Mississippi, surrounded by the wonders of southern rural life. She moved to the city to further her skills in classical piano and visual art. She is passionate about travel and interacting with other cultures, and spends much of her time salsa dancing in clubs throughout the Southeast. Rebecca enjoys Imaginary for its creative variety and its expect-the-unexpected atmosphere.
Mascot
Buttercup comes from a long line of circus cats known as the Butteruski Butterinis. Her lineage is evidenced by her many acrobatic tricks and feats of magic. She takes her job as Imaginary Mascot very seriously.
